La mesa de luz

Hoy se celebra en todo el mundo el festividad de la natividad, día en el que nació Jesús en la ciudad de Belén según lo escrito en la Biblia. Hace más de dos mil años que tuvo lugar este acontecimiento y he recopilado estas fotos llegadas en los últimos días desde esta pequeña ciudad situada al sur de Jerusalem, gestionada por las autoridades palestinas y rodeada por muros y puestos de control israelíes. Muchas de las fotografias que comparto con vosotros son de la Iglesia de la Natividad que se levantó en el lugar donde se supone estaba el pesebre donde nació este personaje tan importante para múltiples religiones.

Estas son algunas imágenes de la ciudad de Belén hoy. Estampas que hubiese visto el propio Jesús de Nazaret si hubiera nacido en este 25 de diciembre de 2011.

Hoy ha comenzado el debate de investidura en el Congreso que culminará mañana con la votación que llevará a Mariano Rajoy a la presidencia del gobierno. Durante el debate, la vicepresidenta primera de la recién formada mesa del Congreso, se ha acercado a los compañeros reporteros gráficos y les ha reprendido al entender que estaban sacando imágenes de los papeles de Mariano Rajoy. El pie que acompaña la imagen de la agencia Efe que encabeza este post así describe lo ocurrido.

Sorprendidos en la mesa de fotografía al ver esta instantánea y otra posterior en la que Soraya Saenz de Santamaría también conversa con los fotógrafos, he realizado algunas consultas con compañeros que estaban en esa tribuna del Congreso para saber lo que había pasado.

Antecedentes
En entregas anteriores de La Mesa de Luz ya hablé de “La nueva tribuna de los fotógrafos en el Congreso” que construyó el ex-presidente Bono sin contar con los medios acreditados y que cambio sin duda la manera de trabajar en el hemiciclo. Esto desembocó en un “Plante de los fotógrafos en el Congreso” en señal de protesta. En estos dos enlaces podéis conocer la manera en la que se trabajaba y se trabaja en la actualidad en la Cámara Baja. En mis conclusiones ya planteaba lo innecesario de esta obra que dificultaba el trabajo y “el miedo a que en un futuro se prohiba a los fotógrafos pisar la alfombra y se les obligue a trabajar con un pool” (La imagen de Reuters que se muestra a continuación está realizada por Efe y pasada como un pool).

Los papeles de Rajoy
Según me han comentado algunos de los fotógrafos que estuvieron hoy en el Congreso, los compañeros Uly Martín de El País y Jose Luis Roca de El Periódico, situados en una de las tribunas reservadas para los foto-periodistas, tomaban imágenes del escaño donde Rajoy anotaba sentado y atendía a uno de los oradores que intervenía en el debate. En un momento dado Rajoy se ha girado, les ha mirado y acto seguido la vicepresidenta de la mesa y diputada del PP Celia Villalobos ha subido la escalera y ha reprendido a los fotógrafos por estar tomando imágenes. Si bien las fotos de Efe que ilustran ese instante parecen mostrar una discusión muy acalorada, según mis fuentes, ha sido una conversación muy respetuosa.

Los fotógrafos han enseñado en las pantallas del respaldo de sus cámaras las imágenes a Villalobos para demostrarle que en ningún caso estaban realizando detalles de los papeles y si fotografías muy parecidas a las que os muestro a continuación.

Pero tras ver las imágenes, Villalobos no parecía satisfecha y comentaba que después esas fotos se podían ampliar y leerse lo que ponía en los papeles de Rajoy. Según me han contado varios fotógrafos y sin conocer las palabras exactas de la vicepresidenta de la mesa y el tono empleado por la misma, ha añadido que no querría tener que poner una mampara en la barandilla que separa la tribuna de los fotógrafos de las escaleras que llevan a los escaños.

A continuación la diputada Soraya Saenz de Santamaría se ha dirigido a los fotógrafos reprendiendoles y estos también han tenido que dar explicaciones a la diputada del PP. Tras la conversacion, parece que Soraya ha ofrecido gominolas a los foteros. Dato que viene a resaltar que las conversaciones han sido correctas y respetuosas más allá de lo que puedan dar a entender las fotos de Efe.

El fondo de la cuestión
Se podría decir que lo acontecido se trata en un suceso sin importancia y una anécdota de lo que ha sido el pleno de hoy. Y es cierto. Pero desde el punto de vista de un informador gráfico es muy precupante que desde la mesa del Congreso y durante el debate de investidura, se vigile el trabajo de los fotógrafos y se reprenda a estos por fotografiar al que aun no es Presidente del Gobierno.

En la foto de Efe se ve incluso que Roca lleva montado un angular, posiblemente un 50mm, con el que parece imposible sacar con detalle los papeles del escaño. Del mismo modo la luz del hemiciclo hace imposible exponer de manera correcta los papeles colocados de forma horizontal y solo se observa algo de información cuando se coloca en vertical como se puede ver en las fotos de ejemplo que se muestran más arriba.

Espero que este celo de Celia Villalobos no se deba a una fotografía realizada hoy por varios compañeros y que podría resultar algo incómoda para la vicepresidenta de la mesa. En ella se puede ver cómo Errekondo de Amaiur y Villalobos tienen una reunión en una sala del Congreso que siempre tiene las puertas abiertas… esperemos que no se empiecen a cerrar.

En todo momento los fotógrafos han actuado con respeto durante el incidente. En verdad han de comportarse así ya que se encuentran en un lugar donde son meros espectadores, donde se encuentran acreditados por un medio y que dicho permiso para trabajar puede ser retirado. Tanto Soraya como Villalobos son diputadas en las cortes y se merecen todos los respetos pero también se podría decir que tienen la sarten por el mango y los fotógrafos tienen todas las de perder.

Pero yo me pregunto si los fotógrafos acreditados estaban obligados a enseñarles las imágenes a la vicepresidenta de la mesa y me gustaría saber si les puede recriminar por fotografiar esto o aquello. ¿Tiene miedo la mesa del Congreso de las fotos que puedan hacer los periodistas acreditados? Y si es así, ¿tienen derecho a poner impedimentos para que realicen su trabajo? En mi opinion, si no quieren que se publiquen ciertas imágenes deberían hablar con los editores y directores de los diarios, adoptar medidas de presión a estos y no intentar influir o amedrentar a los profesionales acreditados que solo realizan su trabajo o insinuar ciertas reformas que dificulten más la labor de los mismos.

Y vuelvo al miedo del que ya hablaba en entregas anteriores cuando Bono cambió de un día para otro las tribunas de los fotógrafos. “Esta obra se ve como un posible primer paso para que los reporteros gráficos, los únicos periodistas que siguen pisando la arena del Congreso, tengan más restringidos sus movimientos y se llegue en un futuro a cubrir las informaciones mediante un pool.” Y mi opinion tras conocer lo acontecido hoy es:

Este gesto se ve como en una declaración de intenciones en la que los reporteros gráficos, los únicos periodistas que siguen pisando la arena del Congreso, tengan restringidos sus movimientos y se llegue en un futuro a cubrir las informaciones mediante un pool, limitando así el derecho a la información reflejado en nuestra Constitución.

Se espera una dura legislatura también para los profesionales de la información que fotografían en el Congreso.
