Adiós a Público

Como muchos sabéis el diario Público esta sumergido en un concurso de acreedores que llevó al cierre de la edición papel el pasado 24 de febrero. Desde ese día mi trabajo como editor gráfico tocó a su fin a pesar de seguir siendo empleado de la empresa que editaba el periódico. A día de hoy ya tengo la certeza de que no trabajaré más en el desaparecido Público ni en su web. Termina un ciclo y, como adelantaba en mi post #porquePublicomehacefalta, he de poner fin a “La Mesa de Luz” tal y como la hemos conocido en la web de Público.

Han sido casi cinco años trabajando en la mesa de fotografía y cuatro años desde mi post de presentación de “La Mesa de Luz” que estaba ilustrado con una foto de la Berlinale muy parecida a la que encabeza hoy mi entrega de despedida. Han sido unos preciosos años donde he crecido en lo personal y lo profesional. Esta bitácora solo me ha dado grandes alegrías y este adiós solo me trae tristeza.

Gracias de corazón a todos los que habéis seguido, disfrutado y valorado mi trabajo en “La Mesa de Luz”. Y gracias a todos los compañeros que me ayudaron a sacar el blog adelante. Solo espero que se trate de un punto y seguido y que pueda seguir con este formato, con esta profesión, en algún otro lugar. Por ello os emplazo a visitar mi nuevo espacio web www.mesadeluz.es donde os mantendré informados de mis proyectos en esta nueva etapa. También os invito a no perder el contacto conmigo y con “La Mesa de Luz” a través de Twitter y de Facebook.

Me despido y cierro con esta edición gráfica marcada con uno de mis tags favoritos: fotógrafos trabajando. Que sirva también como homenaje a todos esos grandes fotógrafos cuyas imágenes han ilustrado durante estos cuatro años “La Mesa de Luz”… El blog de un esbirro de la edición gráfica.

Modelos por los suelos

A media tarde ha llegado esta edición de la agencia americana Ap en la que aparecen modelos perdiendo el equilibrio en la pasarela. Zapatos nuevos con tacones imposibles  de tallas incorrectas, tarimas resbaladizas o zancadas vistosas pero poco seguras, pueden ser las causas de estas vergonzosas caidas.  Se supone que estas fotos sirven para ilustrar algún tema sobre la vida de las modelos que no tiene relevancia en España. Pero me han hecho gracia y me ha parecido indicado compartirlas con vosotros. Imágenes en que las chicas guapas también tropiezan y caen al suelo.

Una ola de frío siberiano recorre Europa y comparto con vosotros esta edición gráfica con la nieve, el hielo y el frío como protagonista. En diciembre de 2010 ya hice otra edición sobre el mismo tema con el título de “La nieve cubre Europa”, si os quedáis con ganas de más nieve os lo recomiendo.
