Hoy es nochebuena y mañana Navidad y Papa Noel, Santa Claus o San Nicolás, el nombre que más les guste, recorrerá la tierra repartiendo regalos. Ya es una tradición en La Mesa de Luz que en estas fechas señaladas os felicite las fiestas a todos con una selección de imágenes del viejo barbudo y gordinflón en múltiples lugares del mundo haciendo todo tipo de cosas. Si os quedáis con ganas de más de Santa aquí podéis encontrar las entregas de 2008, 2009 y 2010.

Os deseo feliz Navidad y próspero año nuevo a todos desde La Mesa de Luz.

¿Truco o trato?

Esta noche se celebra la llamada noche de las burjas, la velada que precede al día de todos los santos, la noche de halloween… Una noche de oscura tradición pagana que en la actualidad tiene mucho seguimiento en los paises anglosajones, Estados Unidos y gran parte de sudamérica. Esta noche pasearán los niños y no tan niños de puerta en puerta preguntando “¿Truco o trato?” y recibiendo golosinas a cambio de la indulgencia de los chicos disfrazados de personajes aterradores. En España este ritual aun no está muy instaurado y somos más de ir a los cementerios a poner flores y comer huesos de santo… Pero esta noche se verá a muchos jóvenes paseandose disfrazados de bar en bar. En cualquier caso recomiendo desde la Mesa de Luz tener cuidado esta noche mágica en la que los muertos se levantan de sus tumbas y los espectros se manifiestan de manera terrorífica.

TOLEDO, 29/10/2011.- Las monjas de los conventos toledanos se resisten a dejar paso a la fiesta anglosajona de Halloween y durante estos dí­as ofrecen cambiar las terroríficas calabazas por los tradicionales y deliciosos huesos de santo que ellas mismas elaboran y venden.
