El nuevo inquilino del 10 de Downing St.

Tras las elecciones británicas ya hay nuevo primer ministro del UK. En tan solo una tarde se ha realizado el cambio y David Cameron dormirá esta noche en el 10 de Downing Street en el centro de Londres. Es curioso como son capaces los ingleses de realizar una mudanza y un cambio de gobierno en tan pocas horas. Pero lo que más me ha gustado han sido estas fotos de la agencia Reuters que muestran el otro lado de la puerta de esta casita londinense que es residencia de los primeros ministros.

Se trata de un pool. Cómo ya he explicado en otras ocasiones, un pool es cuando se comparten fotos entre medios por la imposibilidad de que todos puedan tener acceso a la foto o cuando la amplitud de la cobertura implica que los fotógrafos cubran diferentes puntos y luego se pasen las fotos. En este caso era imposible que la masa de foteros que se encontraban en la puerta entrasen dentro del 10 de Downing Street y solo el fotografó de la casa y el de la agencia Reuters (como se ve en la siguiente imagen) pudieron estar dentro antes que Cameron y su esposa.

Esta es una edición de las mejores fotos de la agencia francesa Afp que han llegado en los últimos diez días. Pero no me ha costado mucho encontrarlas. Los editores de la agencia se encargan de seleccionar esta preciosas gemas fotográficas y enviarlas cada ocho horas a los abonados con la etiqueta de Top Shots. Muchas de estas fotos tratan temas poco noticiosos y se puede pensar que es fácil conseguir una imagen bella en estas informaciones más tranquilas. Pero no es cierto. Ademas,  muchas de estas imágenes tratan temas de gran tensión informativa con grandes alardes estéticos.

Es de agradecer este tipo de servicio en una agencia de información gráfica. Por esto y otras razones que cuento en un post que dediqué a esta agencia, France Press es mi favorita. Espero que os gusten esta selección de lo mejor de los top shots de los últimos 10 días… un ejemplo de buen fotoperiodismo.

Ciclismo en pista

El fin de semana pasado, mientras yo disfrutaba de unas largas libranzas que me han mantenido alejado del blog, se celebró en Pekin la Copa del Mundo de ciclismo en pista. Hoy he recuperado algunas de las fotos de ese evento que no suele salir en los periódicos cuando los españoles no hacen mucho. Al parecer a la selección española no le fue nada bien y tendrán que aplicarse más para llegar en buena forma al compeonato del Mundo. En cualquier caso os dejo estas magníficas imágenes.

Muchas de ellas se realizaron con la técnica del barrido (como la siguiente foto). Muchos de vosotros la conoceréis. Se dispara con velocidades lentas (a 1/4, 1/8 o 1/15 de segundo) y el fotógrafo sigue con un movimiento de acompañamiento al sujeto que está en movimiento. De este modo se consigue que el ciclista aparezca nítido y las gradas trepidadas dando una increíble sensación de movimiento.
