Denuncia UGT que el invento de Camps para fastidiar al Gobierno va a costar entre 8 y 15 millones de euros no previstos en el gasto educativo valenciano. La Conselleria no reconoce las cifras, pero sí admite un sobrecoste por la contratación de profesorado en inglés para impartir Ciudadanía.
A esos profesores/traductores, cuatro meses después de iniciado el curso, ya no se les puede despedir aunque se renuncie al experimento de impartir la asignatura en el idioma de Shakespeare. Para más despropósito, ni siquiera se puede reciclar a esos docentes de secundaria en profesores de infantil y primaria, donde el déficit del aprendizaje del idioma extranjero está asumido incluso por Camps.
Lo que es más difícil de cuantificar es el tiempo perdido estos meses, el descoloque de los docentes y el deplorable mensaje trasladado al alumnado. Por contra, las protestas han forzado a Camps a rectificar. Ahí sí hay una lección de control ciudadano al poder de la que los chavales pueden sacar una enseñanza provechosa.
