Spokesman for Bildu and candidate for president of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Martin Garitano (bottom, 2nd R) talks to Bildu member Loitzune Txarola (bottom R) before her election to the presidency of the Juntas Generales of Gipuzkoa (Assembly of Gipuzkoa Province) in San Sebastian June 13, 2011. The recently formed coalition Bildu beat Spain’s two largest parties in regional elections last month, coming second only to the centre-right Basque National Party in elections that left the Socialists without a single important mayor’s office and only a handful of Spain’s 17 regional legislatures. Bildu won 26 percent, against the about 12 percent the separatist support vote has garnered on average in the past. REUTERS/Vincent West (SPAIN – Tags: POLITICS ELECTIONS)
